The goal of the Aesthetic Accreditation Agency is to improve patient safety and the standard of care in the medical spa setting. It was founded in the recognition that the aesthetic facility environment has not had a dedicated accreditation program that examines all aspects of patient safety and quality care. Our committed team is trained and specialized in a variety of accreditation essentials.

The Aesthetic Accreditation Agency was established in 2008 by Paula Johnson Rood, BSN, who serves as Agency Director, CEO / President. A plastic / aesthetic surgery RN for over 8 years, Ms. Rood is the President and Founder of the Northern California Aesthetic Nurses Association (a chapter affiliate of the American Plastic Surgical Nurses Association). She is also a clinical trainer for Palomar Laser, a Federal OSHA Inspector who received her credentials in the United States Army, and an AAAASF Surgery Accreditation Inspector.
